Consumer Electronics Show closed its gates a few weeks ago. The tech fair was held in Las Vegas, with loads of interesting technologies being unveiled during it, as every year. Most of the big players of the smartphone market had a booth at CES 2016 and most of them announced new products. LG is one of them, as they announced the K7 and K10 smartphones during the Nevada-based tradeshow. Soon after CES, the South Koreans released a teaser which hinted at the arrival of the K4, K5, and K8 smartphone, which should become available at any moment. Well, one of them made an appearance on LG Russia’s website.
LG Russia has just listed the LG K4 on their website, even though the new smartphone hasn’t been officially announced yet. Since the handset popped up on the website, we are expecting to see it be made available for buy over the next few days or even hours. For the time being, the LG K5 and the K8 are not listed anywhere, but we might get to see them on one of LG’s sites quite soon. The best part about the LG K4 listing is that it reveals all the smartphone’s technical specifications. Let’s take a look!
As anticipated, the LG K4 is an entry-level smartphone, sporting a 4.5-inch IPS display with 854 x 480 resolution, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB on-board storage, and microSD support. The processing tasks are handled by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735M processor and a 1,940 mAh is keeping the lights up. Out on the back there’s a 5 MP main camera, while the selfie shooter has 2 MP resolution. The new K4 also comes with 4G LTE connectivity and dual SIM support. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, of course, customize with LG’s proprietary skin.
The handset is 131.9 mm tall, 66.7 mm wide, and 8.9 mm thin, while weighing in at 120 grams. Even though there’s no pricing information, the K4 is expected to be quite affordable given its specifications. The South Korean company will most likely offer the LG K4 on the emerging markets and the same can be said for the K5 and K8.
